I’ve recently been in the gorgeous town of ‘Hoi An’ located half way down Vietnam’s beautiful East Coat. The resort Palm Gardens I stayed in had luscious green gardens filled with coconut palms, wild bamboo, frangipanis, hibiscus and lili-pads.

The last few months I’ve been learning all about natural mineral makeup and the benefits of switching to healthier cosmetics. As part of that journey I’ve taken makeup into stores and worked one on one with people colour matching them and learning what does and doesn’t work for their skin.

We live in a beauty age! Anti aging and beauty enhancing products are all around us… from moisturizers to lipsticks, face-masks, teeth whitening strips, the latest lash lengthening mascara and so much in between. But how do we know which products are right for us and ultimately what are we willing to spend our cold hard cash on?

Highlighter creams and loose mineral powders have been favourites in beauty bags for quite some time. Getting that gorgeous luminous look with a gentle shimmer on the cheeks or an iridescent accent under the eyebrows is something that can work miracles in enhancing your look from drab to fab. But what’s the best way to apply and when is the right time to wear it?

We all have our own relationship with beauty and mine has twisted and turned through so many different types of cosmetic products over the years. But now I’m on a mission to go ‘All Natural’ and I’m searching for products that will nourish my skin from the inside out and the outside in!
